Jan 1, 2010 - I know it was about comics, but the part about Anarchy was quite enlightening. A cool head and that message are something I"d not experienced before.

Jan 1, 2010 - In other words, they were able to do with a comic series and subsequent movie, what Ayn Rand couldn't do in a million word book (Atlas Shrugged). LOL. Looking forward to when they make Atlas Shrugged into a movie, however, I doubt it will be as good as V.

Jan 13, 2010 - @TaskMaster619Do you actually think Alan Moore would appreciate such a gesture, knowing that he is an anarchist?

Angrboda999 Says:
Jan 22, 2010 - I don't get it. Everything Moore talks about is happening right now, and under a socialist government. His opening remarks are to the effect that when you discuss the future, you're really talking about the 'now'. And yet Big Brother has never been so contemporary. If you watch 'V' you see a man fighting against the oppression that is here now, already, not what may come about under a future fascist government! The BNP are rising precisely because of this current leftist, socialist fascism. Why?
mafleeted Says:
Jan 26, 2010 - i love how oxymoronic your comment is. socialism is the exact opposite of fascism. read up before you say things like that.however i do agree with you on all other counts.
Angrboda999 Says:
Jan 27, 2010 - What we call fascism the Nazis called national socialism. The history books (really just Allied victory propaganda) love to class Hitler in a group of his own, but this is probably because his similarities with Stalin, and the influence of Marx on his policies, is just too embarrassing (they had to justify siding with the biggest mass-murderer in history, Stalin, somehow, so by portraying Hitler as fascist helps). I, on the other hand, don't distinguish between either man, or either ideology!
DarkShroom Says:
Jan 27, 2010 - @Angrboda999 "leftist, socialist fascism"?! what about the "rightist capatalist liberalism"?!?
innominehumanitas Says:
Jan 27, 2010 - @Angrboda999 - Anyone who's read just the Communist Manifesto would not argue that the Nazis were very influenced by Marxist doctrine. All they did to the typical Western country was unify the state under one leader. They exercised no direct control over industry. Stalin (and for that matter, Lenin) were old-fashioned despots with a bureaucracy based on party loyalty instead of royal birth, having total monopoly over the economy, exploiting the workers. Apparently they didn't read Marx either.
mafleeted Says:
Jan 27, 2010 - That's in practice. For example, what the Soviets called communism didn't really follow the ideologies of communism, and was so separated later into Russian Communism.
Angrboda999 Says:
Jan 27, 2010 - Agreed. My point about socialist fascism is that the two always seem to blur into one. The UAF have become worse than fascists they proclaim to hate. New Labour is turning the country into a Gestapo police state, and liberals everywhere are rounding on anyone who exercises free speech to criticise the way this country's been betrayed in the name of diversity and enrichment.

Feb 3, 2010 - @Angrboda999 Yeah this film did predict what would happen because it was made by people who know more than the newspapers and television wants to tell the people. and why this is the case? because the most influencal people on this planet are vicious and indeed evil. and they're working together using central banks to enslave mankind through money. who controls money controls the world. as an additional clue: illuminati

Feb 13, 2010 - Great artist, and a visionary. What he criticized back in the eighties , is not outdated, the present seems to have streceched for quite some time, governments restrict liberties, patriot act and all, and nothing seems to change, except cold war, states are more pracgmatic. Or cynical.
